Code of Conduct
At Passion for the Game, we are committed to fostering a positive and supportive environment for all participants, including children aged 5-15, adults, and their parents or guardians. Our Code of Conduct outlines the expectations for behaviour and interactions for everyone involved in our football training academy.
For Participants (Children and Adults):
Respect: Treat coaches, staff, fellow participants, opponents, and equipment with respect at all times. Discriminatory language, bullying, or disrespectful behaviour will not be tolerated.
Safety: Follow all instructions provided by coaches and staff to ensure your safety and the safety of others during training sessions and matches. Report any unsafe conditions or concerns to a coach or staff member immediately.
Sportsmanship: Play fairly, within the rules of the game, and with good sportsmanship. Accept both victory and defeat graciously and without boasting or gloating.
Commitment: Attend training sessions and matches regularly and punctually. Notify coaches or staff in advance if you are unable to attend. Show dedication, effort, and a positive attitude in every session.
Teamwork: Work collaboratively with your teammates, supporting and encouraging each other to achieve common goals. Respect the contributions of all team members, regardless of skill level.
Personal Conduct: Conduct yourself in a manner that reflects positively on Passion for the Game and the values of sportsmanship, integrity, and fair play, both on and off the field.
For Parents and Guardians:
Support: Encourage and support your child’s participation in Passion for the Game by ensuring they attend training sessions and matches regularly. Provide positive reinforcement and encouragement, regardless of the outcome.
Respect: Respect the authority of coaches and staff and their decisions regarding training, team selection, and player development. Avoid interfering with coaching decisions during matches or training sessions.
Sportsmanship: Display good sportsmanship and respect for all participants, coaches, staff, and officials. Refrain from engaging in negative behaviour, such as yelling, heckling, or confrontational interactions with coaches, staff, or other parents.
Communication: Maintain open and respectful communication with coaches and staff, addressing any concerns or questions in a constructive manner. Approach discussions with a willingness to listen and collaborate towards solutions.
Role Modelling: Lead by example by demonstrating positive behaviour, respect for the rules of the game, and support for the values promoted by Passion for the Game. Avoid engaging in behaviour that may undermine the spirit of fair play or create a negative atmosphere for participants.
Consequences of Violations:
Violations of the Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, including but not limited to verbal warnings, suspension from participation in training sessions or matches, or permanent expulsion from Passion for the Game. Decisions regarding disciplinary action will be made at the discretion of Passion for the Game management and will be communicated to the relevant parties in a fair and transparent manner.
By participating in Passion for the Game, all individuals agree to abide by this Code of Conduct and contribute to creating a positive and respectful environment for everyone involved.
This Code of Conduct is effective as of 20/05/2024 and may be revised or updated as needed to reflect changes in policies or guidelines.
